Oh shit... Bloody SIA got a 8kg limit on my carry-on, and not all my electronic equipment can go in. Sigh... However, I found a way to cheat, if I carry my laptop sleeve separately. Technically, it's not cheating, cause SIA said in addition to the carry-on, passengers are allowed {a list of item which include a laptop}.
Items on check-in:
1) Fujitsu Ext FDD Drive
2) Other cable set for TC4400
Items on carry-on:
1) Fujitsu P1610 - 1.13kg
2) Extra 6-cell Battery - 0.31kg
3) Port Replicator - 0.38kg
4) Portable 2.5" HDD - 0.20kg (estimated)
5) Vantec Nexstar Enclosure with 2 HDD installed - 2.30kg (estimated)
6) One cable set for TC4400 - 0.40kg (estimated)
7) One cable set for P1610 - 0.40kg (estimated)
8) One cable set for Vantec Nexstar - 0.40kg (estimated)
9) Ext DVD Drive - 0.30kg (estimated)
10) Bag itself - 1.0kg (estimated)
Total: ~7kg.
Ok fuck... we're almost at the 8kg limit here. And this is just a rough estimation. Haven't even included all those small little electronic gadgets and misc device that will add on to the weight. Sigh...
