Thinking of buying another Enterprise 500GB HDD. This time from Seagate brand.
One interesting though... Unlike the WD HDD which I have to ship it back to the US for RMA, which can be pricey, cause it would mean shipping cost to US for RMA, have WD ship to my VPost address and extra cost for VPost to ship it back. Seagate on the other hand, claims that their warranty is "International", i.e. I can get a damaged drive serviced in Singapore.
Very interesting... The Seagate HDD is about $15 more expensive than the WD HDD... but it's still at least S$40 cheaper than Singapore retail price. Tempting... Calling up the Singapore branch of Seagate to verify this warranty thing... but fuck em!!! They're not answering the damn phone!!! Stupid Sinkapore customer service at its "best"!!!
